When you zoom out far enough,
everything becomes small.
The city shrinks to a scatter of lights,
the Earth to a speck
drifting through the Milky Way,
itself a grain
in a sea with no shore.

We shed blood
to control pieces of a piece,
build empires that time will erase,
and call it purpose.

So you ask:
Why?
Why build the business?
Why chase the dream?
Why go all out
when none of it seems to matter?

Then comes the second why:
Why not?
Why not see how far you can go?
Why not discover the full measure
of what was placed within you
by the One who placed the stars?

Perhaps meaning was never
about how large we are,
but about what we choose to do
with the brief miracle
of being here.
